Governors Land in Williamsburg VA showcases Four Homes during 2018 Historic VA Garden Week

For one week in April 2018, nearly 25,000 visitors will tour beautiful homes and gardens across Virginia during the height of the spring blooming season. Presented by the Garden Club of Virginia, Historic Garden Week encompasses 25 tours organized and hosted by member clubs.

The Williamsburg VA tour for 2018 features a combination of in-town historic and scenic modern residences, each with lovely gardens. Lightfoot House c. 1730-1750 and Tayloe House c. 1755 in Colonial Williamsburg and an award-winning children’s garden at Matthew Whaley Elementary School are paired with access to 4 private homes and gardens a short distance west on Rt. 5 in Governor’s Land at Two Rivers, a waterfront and golf community.  Enjoy lunch at the Two Rivers Country Club overlooking the Chickahominy and James Rivers. The two areas may be visited in either order. A complimentary shuttle bus will run within Governor’s Land.

The Williamsburg Garden Club is hosting the event on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.,

Advance tickets are available online for $40 per person at www.vagardenweek.org/main/tickets.
