Homerama 2014 starts Oct 17 at The Waterfront at Parkside in Suffolk VA
This year the TBA Homearama 2014 takes place at The Waterfront at Parkside located in northern Suffolk, Virginia. The Waterfront at Parkside is a beautiful, traditional neighborhood development with pristine marsh and deep-water views of Bennett’s Creek. This family centric community has inviting community spaces, a new million-dollar clubhouse/fitness center with an outdoor pool and grilling stations, miles of sidewalks, and a lush five-acre park.
Homearama is a 12-day single site display of fully furnished and landscaped custom homes that demonstrate the latest in construction, design, furnishings and technological innovations.
Homearama takes place over three consecutive 4-day weekends from October 17th thru November 3rd, 2014 The show will be open Noon – 8:00pm every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday during those dates. Homearama is closed Tuesday – Thursday. Each weekend will feature a fun and unique theme providing a new experience week after week.
This year’s homes range from 3,000 to 3,300 square feet with prices ranging from $470,000 to $540,000.
While the price tag may not seem affordable to some, it’s a far cry from the million-dollar homes that were featured in past Homearamas, particularly before the recession.
The neighborhood, once a farm, features 177 home sites, with many of those already built out. It sits on deep water, and several waterfront lots are available — though none of them includes a Homearama house. It’s also close to the public park and all its amenities and also has its own clubhouse and pool.
Adjacent to The Waterfront at Parkside is Bennett’s Creek Park featuring 57 acres, packed with three boat ramps that access the Nansemond River through Bennett’s Creek, tennis courts, restrooms, covered shelters for reserved use, a nature trail, open fields, skate park and a crabbing and fishing pier with handicap access.
