January 2017 Home Sales in WIlliamsburg VA
So only a few months into 2017 and the Williamsburg VA real estate market is moving along strongly. Although we show 4.5 months of inventory in the Williamsburg market that’s a little deceiving. Some of that is proposed construction. Homes that are priced right and in good condition are selling quickly. We have seen a few homes recently with multiple offers within a few days of being listed..
Interest rates remain low We expect this trend to continue for the next several months. Right now our biggest issue is finding houses to sell.

New Listings were up by 16.9%, closed sales up by 10.5%, and the median sale price was up by 18.5% for the greater Williamsburg Virginia area as compared to January ’16.
