Shipt Launches Same-Day Delivery in Hampton Roads Metro Area, Expands in Richmond
Shipt, a leading online marketplace, today announced that they will begin same-day delivery of an assortment of groceries and home essentials with three major retailers. Beginning March 15, 2018, Shipt will deliver from Target, Lidl, and Kroger stores to the Hampton Roads, VA metro area. On the same day, Shipt will expand their existing retail offerings in Richmond, VA by adding same-day delivery from Target.
Cumulatively, the launch gives 1.6 million households in Virginia access to Target, Kroger, and Lidl products, delivered by Shipt in as little as one hour. Shipt members will be able to shop fresh foods and household essentials from Target, Lidl and Kroger, in addition to an assortment of product categories that are unique to each retailer. To celebrate the launch, new Shipt members who sign up prior to March 15 will receive an annual membership for $49 (regularly $99).
Founded in 2014, Shipt is committed to simplifying its members’ lives by offering a new, convenient same-day shopping experience. Shipt’s marketplace gives customers the ability to browse, search and shop the in-store assortment of products online. Customers can note preferences, choose a one-hour delivery window and pay for their order, all within the app. Shipt’s expert team of shoppers takes care of selecting, purchasing and delivering the items.
