James City County Approves Golf Cart Use in Windsor Forest

Residents of Windsor Forest in James City County can now drive golf carts on public roads, making it the fifth neighborhood in the county to do so. The James City County Board of Supervisors approved a golf cart use permit for the neighborhood at their July 11 meeting.

However, some residents have concerns about the safety of golf cart use on public roads. The Windsor Forest Homeowners Association, which applied for the permit, has developed a set of regulations for golf cart use in the neighborhood, including requirements for driver’s licenses and safety equipment.
