Chicken Salad (and Joy) Coming to Williamsburg: Chicken Salad Chick Grand Opening Set for May 27

By John Womeldorf

Let’s be honest: it’s hard not to smile when someone says chicken salad. Add in Southern hospitality, 12+ flavors, patio seating, and a free chicken salad giveaway—and now we’re talking. Big news, Williamsburg: Chicken Salad Chick is opening its doors at 4640 Casey Blvd. on Tuesday, May 27, and they’re bringing some serious perks to the party.

This marks Chicken Salad Chick’s 10th Virginia location, and judging by the fanbase growing faster than your Aunt Linda’s Sunday potluck line, I think it’s safe to say the love is real. The Williamsburg grand opening will reward the first 100 guests in line with free chicken salad for a year—yes, a year. That’s 52 weeks of creamy, Southern-inspired goodness if you’re first in line. If you’re one of the next 99, you’ll still snag a free large Quick Chick each month for a year. Not too shabby for showing up a little fashionably late.

The Week of Chicken Cheer

The celebration doesn’t stop on day one. All week long (Tuesday–Saturday), Chicken Salad Chick is dishing out swag to the early birds who purchase a Chick Trio. Whether you’re in it for the black tumbler, golf gear, or the always-handy tote bag, there’s a daily giveaway to go with your lunch. Bonus: Saturday’s reward is a free scoop card for a future visit, because once you’ve tried the “Fancy Nancy” or “Dixie Chick,” trust me, you’re coming back.

A Local Chick Makes Good

This location is the fourth for franchise owner Melissa Holt, who’s clearly on a mission to spread chicken salad (and joy) across the Commonwealth. Along with her mom, she already runs successful locations in Hampton and Norfolk, and partnered up to open another in Chesapeake earlier this year. Now, Melissa’s bringing her winning formula to Williamsburg, where she saw a tight-knit community hungry for good food and good vibes.

As Melissa puts it: “It’s incredibly rewarding to continue growing Chicken Salad Chick here in my home state of Virginia. I’m excited to open this new restaurant and share the brand’s mission while serving up the best chicken salad around!” We love to see it.

Even better, before the doors open, Chicken Salad Chick of Williamsburg is supporting local nonprofit FISH, which provides food, clothing, and essentials to those in need across Williamsburg, James City County, and York County. Chicken salad and community spirit? Sign me up.

What’s on the Menu?

If you’ve never been to a Chicken Salad Chick, you’re in for a treat. We’re talking over a dozen scratch-made chicken salad varieties, fresh side salads, hearty soups, sandwiches, and sweet treats to finish it off. The new Williamsburg location offers indoor dining, patio seating, take-out, third-party delivery, and catering, so you’re covered whether it’s a quick lunch or a neighborhood gathering.

Chicken Salad Chick of Williamsburg will be open Monday–Saturday from 10:30 AM – 8:00 PM. For menu details, giveaways, or updates, visit their Facebook page or chickensaladchick.com.
