Colonial Williamsburg Slashes Ticket Prices, Making History More Accessible
Visiting Colonial Williamsburg just became much more affordable! Starting Thursday, ticket prices will drop by as much as 66%, making it easier for families, students, and history enthusiasts to experience this iconic destination.

The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation announced the new pricing structure as part of its mission to make history and education accessible to everyone, particularly as the area prepares for the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026. This reduction also coincides with the foundation’s own centennial celebration in the same year.
Here’s the new pricing breakdown:
• Single-Day Admission (Adults): $35 (down 30% from $49.99)
• Single-Day Admission (Ages 6-12): $10 (a nearly 66% reduction from $28.99)
• Children Under 6: Free
• Online Purchases: Additional 10% discount
• School Groups: $10 per student
Local residents can enjoy even more value. The price for a Good Neighbor Pass will increase slightly to $35 but now includes all residents of Williamsburg, James City County, and York County. The pass is valid for an entire year, offering unlimited opportunities to explore the historic area.
For those who love coming back year-round, a regular Colonial Williamsburg Annual Pass will be available for just $75.
There’s more good news: Admission to the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg will now be completely free! However, programming in the Hennage Auditorium will still require either a Colonial Williamsburg admission ticket or a special program ticket.
According to Ellen Peltz, a Colonial Williamsburg spokesperson, the foundation hopes the reduced prices will encourage more school groups and families to engage with its mission to share the complete story of the Revolutionary era.
