More Than Just Music:

The concerts are set against the backdrop of the York River and Coleman Bridge, where you can watch boats drift by and maybe even catch a spectacular sunset. Local restaurants, ice cream shops, and boutiques stay open late—so make it a full evening with dinner, drinks, shopping, and dancing. Many people arrive early to grab their favorite spot on the lawn or set up near the performance area.

These events are family-friendly, so bring the kids, grandparents, and even out-of-town guests. You’ll find a fun, welcoming crowd made up of locals who have made this a tradition and first-timers quickly falling in love with the Yorktown waterfront.

Whether you’re a die-hard fan of ‘80s music, a lover of beach tunes, or simply looking for a relaxed, feel-good evening under the stars, the Sounds of Summer Concert Series is the place to be.

Pro Tip: Bring a portable fan, your favorite snacks, and some bug spray—you’ll be there a while, and you won’t want to leave early.
