Golf Carts now allowed at Powhatan Shores
At it’s January 10, 2023, meeting The James City County Board of Supervisors approved an ordinance permitting the use of golf carts on public roads in Powhatan Shores.
Powhatan Shore becomes the fifth neighborhood in the County to be approved for golf cart usage since 2007. The other neighborhoods currently approved are Chickahominy Haven, Cypress Point, Elmwood, Kristiansand. Colonial Heritage allows them as well but their roads are private.
At this time The Landfall at Jamestown neighborhood has applied for approval as well.
