Inaugural Williamsburg Comedy Festival Features 50 Acts and 150 Performers

Exciting News: Williamsburg, Virginia, is set to host a laughter-filled extravaganza from Jan. 25 to 28 with the arrival of the new comedy festival!

Featuring stand-up comedians and improv teams from around the country, this event promises a blend of humor, talent, and unique performances. Headliners from Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City will share the stage with local gems, creating a comedy fusion like never before.

Key Performances Include:

  • Improvised Jane Austen: Experience on-the-spot tales in the style of the beloved 19th-century author on Jan. 26 at the Williamsburg Regional Library theater.
  • Hitch*Cocktails: Voted the “Best Improv Troupe in Chicago,” they craft a full-length thriller in Hitchcock style while enjoying on-stage beverages on Jan. 26.
  • Clued In: A murder mystery inspired by Agatha Christie and Sherlock Holmes, captivating audiences since 2016, performs on Jan. 27.
  • RIFF: Chicago’s Improv Music Party energizes fast-paced games from “Whose Line is it Anyway?” with a full band at Culture Cafe on Jan. 28.

Additional venues include the Williamsburg Community Building and Culture Cafe, transformed into comedy club venues for the festival weekend.
