Liz Moore & Associates Annual Cupcake Wars Event Raises Money for CHKD
Liz Moore & Associates held our annual Cupcake Wars fundraiser this year on February 11th to once again raise money for the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters.
The first Liz Moore Cupcake Wars was held in 2011 and has grown in size each year.
This year’s Cupcake Wars was a huge success! In First Place was our newest office in Kilmarnock, raising $6,559 2nd Place was the Williamsburg office $5,467, 3rd place was Newport News at $5,131, and our Richmond office at $2,429. Throw in $416 on venmo that didn’t specify an office, and our GRAND TOTAL raised was over $20,000 in 3 hours!!! Thanks again to all that supported such a worthy cause!!
Liz Moore and Associates has raised over $159,000 over the years for CHKD, much of that coming from Cupcake Wars.
“This has always been my favorite fundraiser,” says Liz Moore, “the agents and staff are so creative and come up with such clever ideas. Every year they out-do themselves!”
At Liz Moore & Associates, our corporate charity of choice is the Children’s Hospital of the Kings’ Daughters. Since we opened, we have been fundraising for the hospital, and spreading the word about how fortunate we are to have such a fabulous facility right in our own community. Many parents travel hundreds and even thousands of miles to find this level of care for their children.
Liz’s son Grayson, was born 15 weeks prematurely at only 1 pound 14 ounces, and spent his first 3 months in neo-natal intensive care at CHKD, as well as having heart surgery when he was only 2 weeks old. Today, he is a healthy adult and now works for our company.
CHKD Health System offers a network of comprehensive pediatric services in more than 40 locations that stretch from Williamsburg to Elizabeth City, North Carolina. On the outpatient side, they offer primary care, diagnostic services, urgent care, emergency care, rehabilitative therapies, day surgery and care in more than 20 pediatric subspecialties. Inpatient care is offered at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, Virginia’s only comprehensive freestanding pediatric hospital.
