Ryan Homes Proposes 58 New Condominiums at High Street
A new residential project is being brought forward in Williamsburg, as Ryan Homes seeks conceptual approval from the City of Williamsburg’s Architectural Review Board (ARB) for a condominium development at 1430 High Street, Building #10.
The parcel, an undeveloped section within the High Street mixed-use community, is under contract for acquisition by High Street Shops LLC and RCS – High Street TIC LLC, with Ryan Homes as the applicant. The proposal calls for rezoning the site to allow the construction of 58 for-sale condominium units.
Project Details
The site plan presented to the ARB outlines two distinct building types:
Two Mosaic Buildings – Four stories each, with 24 units per building (48 units total). One Matisse/Picasso Building – A four-story structure designed in a townhome-style format, containing 10 units.
Together, the development would bring 58 new condominiums to the High Street corridor.
The proposal is currently in the conceptual review stage. If the board’s feedback is favorable, the next steps will include rezoning efforts and detailed site plan submissions.
The Architectural Review Board (ARB) meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 26, 2025, and will take place at the Stryker Center, 412 N. Boundary Street in Williamsburg. The session will begin at 6:30 p.m., providing an opportunity for board members and the public to review and comment on Ryan Homes’ proposed High Street condominium project during its conceptual phase.
Community Impact
High Street was envisioned as a walkable hub that blends retail, dining, entertainment, and residential living. This project would represent one of the first large-scale for-sale homeownership opportunities within the community, where much of the existing housing stock has been rental apartments. If approved, it could offer buyers a new option to own property in one of Williamsburg’s most visible mixed-use districts.
