Sign Up for the 9th Annual Great Williamsburg Adventure Race

The ninth annual Great Williamsburg Adventure Race will feature over a dozen local businesses and organizations in a race throughout the City of Williamsburg on Saturday, Oct. 28.

Participating businesses host challenges that require participants to complete an activity related to their products or services. Some past challenges have involved unique tasks like recording radio promos, installing carpet samples, and mock job interviews.

“We really enjoy working with businesses to come up with the team activities,” said Adam Stackhouse, event producer. “It’s the ninth year of the event, so we work hard to come up with new twists to keep returning players on their toes.”

Following the race, winners will be announced, and prizes awarded. The top three finishing teams will receive trophies and the first-place team will also receive a prize pack full of merchandise and giveaways from race sponsors. Any team that turns in their race materials will be entered in a raffle for $100 cash.

The adventure race, billed as the City’s signature annual town-gown event, is produced by AVAdventure Productions with support from the City of Williamsburg.

This year’s event coincides with William & Mary’s Family Weekend. Families visiting campus are encouraged to participate in the race together. Any team with at least one current W&M student may participate free of charge, courtesy of the City of Williamsburg.
