The 2025 Merchant Square Concert Series: A Season of Unforgettable Music in Colonial Williamsburg

One of the things I love most about Williamsburg is its thriving arts and music scene. While our city is rich in history, it’s also a hub for live entertainment, and the 2025 Merchant Square Concert Series proves just that.

This year’s lineup is packed with incredible talent, offering everything from singer-songwriters and blues legends to high-energy rock and alt-country artists. Whether you love Americana, folk, blues, or toe-tapping honky-tonk, there’s something for everyone. Best of all, these performances take place right in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg, creating a one-of-a-kind experience where music and history collide.

Here’s a look at this season’s must-see concerts:

2025 Merchant Square Concert Series Lineup

Cam Clark – May 2 (Singer-Songwriter)

Hailing from Paris, KY, Cam Clark blends Appalachian soul, folk, and modern storytelling into a sound that’s deeply moving. His debut album, The Outer Reaches, explores love, time, and acceptance, bringing a rich and boundary-pushing style to the stage. With experience working alongside Grammy-winning producers, Cam’s unique voice and musicianship make this a can’t-miss performance.

Driftwood – June 6 (Singer-Songwriter / Rock Band)

Upstate New York’s Driftwood fuses folk, rock, and bluegrass in a way that defies tradition but feels timeless. Their latest album, December Last Call, reflects on personal growth and change, all while maintaining the infectious, high-energy sound they’re known for. With multiple vocalists and songwriters, their performances are dynamic, heartfelt, and filled with expert musicianship.

Fantastic Cat – July 3 (Singer-Songwriter / Americana)

Four acclaimed songwriters—Don DiLego, Anthony D’Amato, Brian Dunne, and Mike Montali—come together to form Fantastic Cat, an Americana supergroup that’s turning heads with its genre-defying sound. Their debut album, The Very Best of Fantastic Cat, received praise from Rolling Stone, and their live shows have been selling out across the U.S. and Europe. Expect incredible harmonies, masterful songwriting, and an energy that’s impossible to resist.

Cristina Vane – August 1 (Acoustic Blues)

Raised in Italy, England, and France and now based in the U.S., Cristina Vane blends blues, folk, country, and rock into a unique and powerful sound. Her latest album, Hear My Call, showcases intricate guitar work, haunting vocals, and deeply evocative storytelling. If you appreciate the raw emotion of early blues mixed with a fresh, modern energy, this is the concert for you.

Jenny Don’t and the Spurs – September 5 (Alt-Country)

With over a decade of making waves in the alt-country scene, Jenny Don’t and the Spurs bring an undeniable honky-tonk spirit to every performance. Their latest album, Broken Hearted Blue, released in June 2024, continues their streak of twangy guitars, infectious melodies, and an electrifying stage presence. If you love classic country with a rebellious edge, this is a must-see show.

Kevin Burt and Big Medicine – October 3 (Blues)

Hailing from Iowa, Kevin Burt is a powerful bluesman known for soulful vocals, heartfelt storytelling, and a deep connection to the blues tradition. His latest album, recorded at GREASELAND Studios, blends timeless blues influences with a modern touch, making his passionate, emotional performances something truly special. Blues fans won’t want to miss this one!
