The Ewell Concert Series 2021 – 2022 Season Presents Michelle Huang and Magdalena Adamek Piano Duo!

Each year the Department of Music at William and Mary sponsors a number of musical performances as part of its acclaimed Ewell Concert Series. Concerts in this series range from classical offerings to modern, avant-garde fare and feature performances from traditional American music to musicians from around the globe. These events are hosted in an array venues around the city of Williamsburg, including Ewell Recital Hall, Kimball Theatre, Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, Williamsburg Regional Library Theatre, and Bruton Parish Church.

It’s a long established series that the music department has sponsored at the college and we try to draw a variety of artists to appeal to a wide range of audience,” said Richard Marcus, concert series manager.

Next up in the Ewell concert series is Michelle Huang and Magdalena Adamek Piano Duo!

Performing Friday night March 4 , 2022 at 7 PM in the Ewell recital hall at Wm and Mary.

Pianists Magdalena Adamek and Michelle Huang have both enjoyed fulfilling and vibrant careers as soloists, chamber musicians, and educators. The duo met at Virginia Commonwealth University where both pianists served on the Piano Faculty. Since 2019, they have collaborated and performed together. Their shared enthusiasm for music from different cultural backgrounds has spurred their interest in performing a wide array of four-hand and two piano works by composers such as Maria Szymanowska, Frederic Chopin, Johannes Brahms, Maurice Ravel, to a contemporary composer Richard Bennett.

The concert is free and open to the public. Masks will be required while indoors.
