Backyard Cheers at the Biergarten
The Anheuser-Busch brewery in Williamsburg will open its biergarten to the public with an event this Saturday, July 13th from 4 to 8 p.m.
The outdoor setting is an outreach to the community, and an attempt to strengthen a connection that was lost when the brewery stopped holding its popular tours in 2001

The free event is called Backyard Cheers, and similar event is planned for October. The brewery hopes to turn it into regular weekly events in 2020.
The Anheuser-Busch brewery in Williamsburg discontinued tours in 2001. Visitors to Busch Gardens had been able to ride a monorail from the park, tour the brewery and enjoy a free sample of beer.
The event will feature music from Brian Sewell, food trucks (Flame and Pie wood-fired pizza, and DD214 Smokehouse), and, of course, plenty of beer. Families and dogs are welcome.
