Pickleball Courts coming to Veterans Park in James City County

The construction of 8 new pickleball courts is underway at Veterans Park, aka Kidsburg. The tennis courts closed Nov. 5 and will be replaced by new pickleball courts. Work to demolish the existing tennis and pickleball courts, which are in poor condition due to age, is expected to take 8 to 10 weeks. Work at the site will also eliminate many of the existing slope problems. Kidsburg and other Veterans Park amenities will remain open during the construction period. Please follow instructions from the work crews and do not allow children to play on or near construction equipment.
