Budweiser Celebrates 150 Years at Williamsburg Brewery with the Clydesdales, Fresh Brews, and a Tribute to America 250
WILLIAMSBURG, VA — One of America’s most iconic brands is bringing a major celebration to Williamsburg later this month.
On Saturday, May 30, 2026, the Williamsburg Brewery will host a public celebration honoring both Budweiser’s 150th Anniversary and America’s upcoming 250th birthday with an afternoon of fresh beer, food, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities.

The event will take place from noon to 4 p.m. and will feature day-fresh brews, local food vendors, lawn games, and one of the biggest attractions of all — a special appearance by the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales.
For many visitors, seeing the Clydesdales in person is a bucket-list experience. The massive horses have become one of the most recognizable symbols in American advertising and tradition, appearing in parades, national events, and iconic Super Bowl commercials for decades.
This year’s event also carries a deeper meaning beyond the celebration itself.
The appearance of the Clydesdales will help spotlight Anheuser-Busch’s 16-year partnership with Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen or disabled U.S. military service members and first responders.
Given Williamsburg’s strong military ties and patriotic history, the partnership feels especially fitting here in the Historic Triangle as America prepares for the nationwide America 250 commemoration leading into 2026.
The brewery event is expected to draw locals, visitors, beer enthusiasts, families, and history lovers alike for what should be one of the more unique community gatherings of the Memorial Day season.
If you’ve never experienced the Budweiser Clydesdales up close, this may be a rare opportunity to do so right here in Williamsburg.

About Me
I’m John Womeldorf — better known locally as Mr. Williamsburg — and I’ve been helping people discover Williamsburg and the surrounding areas for more than 20 years. While real estate is certainly part of what I do, I’ve also become known for highlighting the people, places, restaurants, neighborhoods, concerts, festivals, and community events that make this region such a special place to live.
From Colonial Williamsburg and Yorktown to Richmond, Smithfield, New Kent, and beyond, I love sharing the stories and experiences that give this area its character. Whether I’m covering a local concert, writing about a neighborhood, helping a family relocate, or restoring a 125-year-old farmhouse in Southern Virginia, my goal is always the same: helping people connect with Virginia in a meaningful way.
If you’re considering buying or selling a home anywhere from Williamsburg to Richmond, the Northern Neck, Virginia Beach, or anywhere in between, I’d love the opportunity to help.
