Aug. 30 is Jazz Night at Jamestown Jams Featuring Good Shot Judy
Come enjoy free live music on Friday, Aug. 30 with Good Shot Judy as they perform for Jazz Night during Jamestown Jams at Jamestown Beach Event Park.
Good Shot Judy specializes in delivering top-notch vocal jazz and recreating the classic nightclub entertainment feel of Las Vegas in its prime. Think Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Count Basie, glitz and glamour. Real entertainment from an era that was not only filled with great singers, performers and great songs, but whose legacy has become synonymous with what great entertainment really is. Good Shot Judy will perform from 6:30-8 p.m.
Entrance will open for the concert at 5:30 p.m. Concert will take place on a grassy field within Jamestown Beach Event Park. Admission to Jamestown Jams is free. Parking is free and will be behind the old Jamestown Campground building at 2205 Jamestown Road adjacent to Jamestown Settlement.
James City County Parks & Recreation will be sponsoring a cornhole tournament at this event beginning at 6 p.m. The tournament is limited to 32 teams and cost is $10 per team. Preregistration is encouraged, but not required. Tournaments are available to ages 10 and up. Registration is available online using code 806100-C or keyword cornhole.

The County is pleased to partner with The Arc of Greater Williamsburg (The Arc) for this year’s concerts. The Arc will be selling assorted beer and all proceeds will benefit their local activities and programs. The Arc has proudly served adults with developmental disabilities in our community since 1976. Now in their 43rd year, The Arc serves young adults as they age out of special education at age 22 and continue serving these adults through their lives. They provide 8-10 monthly, evening activities, as well as a Day Support Program. Programs and activities also provide respite time for caregivers.
Food from The Hungry Pug, Prost! Food Truck and Sno-to-Go will be available for purchase. Additionally, the Williamsburg Winery will be on hand serving their fine wines.
Snacks, picnics and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted. All items are subject to inspection prior to entrance. No alcohol or large, plastic coolers are permitted. Pets are not permitted at Jamestown Jams for the safety of all attendees. Only service animals will be permitted entrance to Jamestown Jams. Chairs and blankets are permitted.
Jamestown Beach will remain open to patrons during each concert and will follow its regular operating schedule.
