Chicken Salad Chick Coming to Williamsburg in 2025!

The fast-casual restaurant Chicken Salad Chick is expanding its presence in Hampton Roads, with an exciting new location set to open in early 2025 in Settler’s Market near Williamsburg, conveniently located next to the HomeGoods store. Franchise owner Melissa Holt, who launched the first Hampton Roads location in 2021 at Peninsula Town Center, is bringing this popular eatery to the Williamsburg area. The new location will feature a private party room, adding to the community-friendly vibe that Chicken Salad Chick is known for.

Melissa Holt, who previously managed for Domino’s Pizza, was inspired to open her first Chicken Salad Chick after hearing founder Stacy Brown’s story on the podcast “How I Built This.” Brown started the company in 2008 by selling chicken salad out of her home in Auburn, Alabama, before expanding into a successful franchise. Holt’s Hampton location quickly became a favorite, leading to additional openings in Norfolk , Chesapeake and now Williamsburg, with plans for future expansion, including a location in Smithfield.

Chicken Salad Chick is celebrated for its fresh, made-daily chicken salads, with a menu that features 12 varieties, all based on the classic recipe, Classic Carol. Favorites include Fancy Nancy, with fruit and pecans, and Barbie-Q, with a hickory-smoked flavor. The menu also offers side dishes like broccoli salad, pasta salad, and macaroni and cheese, along with options for non-chicken salad lovers, such as egg salad and pimento cheese.

Holt emphasizes local involvement and community spirit at her locations. For instance, her Hampton store showcases Peninsula landmarks and participates in local events by collecting school supplies in exchange for discounts. The company’s commitment to quality is evident in its practices: chicken and vegetables are cut fresh in-house daily, and salads are never sold beyond two days old, with leftovers donated to local charities.

As Holt prepares for the Williamsburg opening, she credits her dedicated staff and management team for the franchise’s success. With a reputation for warm hospitality and fresh, flavorful offerings, Chicken Salad Chick is poised to become a new favorite in Williamsburg.

Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the 2025 opening!
