Country Club Acres: New Homes Coming to Upper York County- Williamsburg
A new-home community is coming to the Williamsburg area in late 2026. Country Club Acres by Stanley Martin Homes will offer build-to-order single-family homes anticipated to start in the upper $500s.
Located beside the Williamsburg Golf Club in Upper York County, Country Club Acres will combine new construction with a setting that already feels established. The neighborhood has rolling terrain, mature trees, preserved open space, and convenient access to Merrimac Trail, Route 199, and Interstate 64.
At least 20 homesites are expected to offer golf course frontage, while quite a few others will back to woods, natural buffers, or preserved green space.

The preliminary plan includes golf-course-frontage and wooded homesites, along with a playground, multipurpose field, picnic pavilion, and several grilling and gathering areas.
New Homes Designed for Today
Country Club Acres is expected to include ranch and two-story floorplans with open living areas, two-car garages, flexible rooms, and up to six bedrooms on select designs.

I’m John Womeldorf, although many people around town know me as Mr. Williamsburg. I’m a Virginia native with family roots in the Commonwealth dating back to the late 1700s, and I’ve spent more than 25 years helping people buy and sell homes throughout Williamsburg and the surrounding region.
I guess real estate, construction, and entrepreneurship are in my blood. My great-great-grandfather was a builder, developer, businessman, and entrepreneur in Rockbridge County, Virginia, during the 1890s. More than a century later, I’m still helping people find land, build homes, improve properties, and put down roots in Virginia.
I write these articles because I genuinely enjoy sharing what makes our neighborhoods interesting. Real estate isn’t just about bedrooms, bathrooms, and square footage—it’s about finding a place that fits the way you want to live. I try to share the useful details you won’t always find in a builder’s brochure or online listing.
When I’m not talking about real estate, I’m probably riding my bike, planning my next trip, looking for a great restaurant, spending time on the water, or listening to live music. I’ve cycled throughout the United States and Europe, traveled extensively, owned boats, hosted house concerts, and eaten my way through more places than I can count. Those experiences have taught me that where you live should support the things you enjoy—not simply provide a roof over your head.
