I’m thrilled to announce the development of Ford’s Village, a state-of-the-art 55+ and continuing care community that promises to redefine luxurious living for seniors. The James City County Board of Supervisors approved the rezoning of this project in September 2022, paving the way for a vibrant new chapter in residential care.

from the developer: We are pleased to announce that we have gained partial site plan approval for the first phase. This includes the CCRC site which will house The Morgan, an independent living, assisted living, and memory care community managed by Retirement Unlimited, Inc. This milestone is a crucial step forward in bringing this vibrant new community to life. At this time, The Morgan does not have a specific website, however you may visit https://www.rui.net/ to find out more information on their company and what they have to offer.
At the end of July, we broke ground and began clearing the site. This initial phase of construction marks the beginning of transforming our plans into reality. Once the grading and clearing have been completed, the next step will be to install infrastructure.
While infrastructure is being laid for that portion of the site, we will move on to the clearing and grading of Phase B. Phase B consists of the single-family home and townhouse portion of Ford’s Village.
We appreciate your patience and support as we move forward with this important work. We know many of you are eager to learn more about the specific plans and pricing for homes in Ford’s Village. We are currently assembling our guild of qualified builders and will provide more updates as we get pricing and plans become available, so stay tuned!
