If you haven’t heard of Virginia’s Northern Neck, it’s the peninsula between the Potomac and Rappahannock Rivers with the Chesapeake Bay on its eastern most border. On the eastern edge of the peninsula is Kilmarnock, a charming small town with bigger city amenities.

Kilmarnock Beginning in the 18th century as “The Crossroads” and then “Steptoe’s Ordinary”, Kilmarnock is filled with shopping, strolling and dining. Pedestrian friendly sidewalks bring back a feeling of yesteryear.

Wineries on the Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail are a few short miles away. Good Luck Cellars, The Dog and Oyster Vineyard and Athena Vineyards are your neighbors.

Bring Fido and play at “Scotty Yard”, Kilmarnock’s dog park, swing at the children’s playground or walk the nature trail at Baylor Park. Relive your childhood and make some new memories at the Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department’s summer carnival. Bicycle the byways of the area during the Northern Neck RiverRide in October. Enjoy the annual Lighted Christmas Parade every December – it’s hometown fun!
