New trolley service changes announced

WATA has redesigned the Trolley route to become more efficient, effective and accessible for the greater Williamsburg area. The Williamsburg Trolley route and frequency changes will begin on Monday, June 17, 2013. The Williamsburg Trolley will now provide our customers with an enhanced route that will facilitate a unique travel experience connecting local citizens and visitors to 15 key service points in the Williamsburg – James City County region; including, New Town, High Street, Williamsburg Shopping Center, Merchants Square, and the College of William and Mary. The Trolley will now operate on 30 minutes service loops in order to provide our customers with quick and convenient service to key destinations in our region. Citizens and visitors can ride the Trolley all day for just $2. The Williamsburg Area Transit Authority (WATA) will continue to work to ensure the trolley service meets the greatest needs of our community.
