Uncorked & Unplugged Returns to Williamsburg Winery — And It’s Worth Your Calendar
There was a time when concerts at Williamsburg Winery were one of those under-the-radar gems around town.
You’d show up, grab a glass of wine, settle into a beautiful setting—and then realize you were seeing really good artists in a setting that felt personal, not overproduced.
So yes… I was glad to hear this one is back.

🎶 A Strong Lineup With Some Real Staying Power
Uncorked & Unplugged returns Saturday, June 6, and they’ve put together a lineup that leans heavily into acoustic storytelling and recognizable hits:
David Cook
Cook first broke onto the scene as the winner of American Idol in 2008, but what’s impressed me more is the staying power. He’s built a steady touring career with a rock-forward sound that translates really well into acoustic settings. Songs like “The Time of My Life” and “Light On” still hit—and in a smaller venue like this, they tend to hit even better.
Howie Day
If you were around in the early 2000s, you definitely remember “Collide.” Day carved out a niche with his looping pedal and one-man-band acoustic style long before it became common. His performances tend to be stripped down, intimate, and surprisingly powerful live.
Vertical Horizon
These guys bring a little more full-band energy, anchored by one of those songs that just never really went away—“Everything You Want.” They’ve had multiple charting hits, and their catalog is deeper than most people remember until they hear it live.
🍷 More Than Just a Concert
Here’s the move: don’t treat this like a “show up at start time” kind of event.
Arrive early. Walk the property. Take it in.
You’ll typically find:
- Multiple food options
- Local vendors
- Plenty of space to spread out and relax before the music starts
And if you’ve never really explored the winery itself—this is your excuse.
Do a tasting. Check out the restaurant. Or look into the wine club.
We’ve been members for about 20 years, and it’s one of those things that just becomes part of your routine over time.

Final Thought
I’m not affiliated with the event—just passing it along because it’s the kind of experience that reminds you why Williamsburg is such a great place to live.
Good music. Good wine. A setting that actually lets you enjoy both.
If you go, I think you’ll walk away glad you did.
About Me — Why I Share Events Like This
If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you know I don’t just write about real estate—I write about living here. I’ve spent more than two decades helping people buy and sell homes across Williamsburg, Richmond, and the surrounding areas, but what I’ve really become is something closer to a local ambassador. When someone calls me, it’s just as likely to be about neighborhoods, restaurants, events, or lifestyle as it is about square footage and price per foot.
That’s exactly why I share things like Uncorked & Unplugged. These are the experiences that give a place its personality—the moments that make someone say, “Yeah, I could see myself living here.” Whether it’s a concert at the winery, a festival downtown, or a hidden gem most people drive right past, I try to surface the things that make this area special.
I’m also coming at this from more than just an agent’s perspective. I’m an investor, renovator, Airbnb host, cyclist, and lifelong Virginian who genuinely enjoys exploring the region. I’ve helped clients buy everything from first homes to waterfront properties to land for custom builds—and along the way, I’ve learned that people aren’t just buying houses… they’re buying into a lifestyle.
If you’re thinking about making a move—or even just starting to explore what that might look like—I’m always happy to have a conversation.
