VA Craft Beer Festival This Sunday in Williamsburg

This Sunday (8/11/2013) from noon to five DoG Street Pub will host the first Virginia Craft Beer Festival .  August is Virginia Craft Beer Month and what better place to celebrate than on the streets of Merchants Square?

imageChef Everett is setting up a giant tent, inviting all the players in Virginia Craft Beer and grilling savory Summer treats rain or shine.

All proceeds from the festival will go to the charities that help Anderson’s Corner Animal Hospital.  There will be a raffle of beer & pet related goods in addition to other gifts from local businesses (so bring a little extra cash for raffle tickets).

There will be live music from the Hark and local artist merchants.  There’s too many details to cover here so follow their Facebook page as they leak more news.

Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door and include beer tastings, unlimited food & a special tasting glass for the first 500 guests.

Tickets are available at www.dogstreetpub.com. There is a limited number of tickets to avoid overcrowding. The $25 ticket price include UNLIMITED food, a tasting glass, twenty 4 ounce tastes (enough to try each beer once). Full pints will be available for $5. They’ll be tapping a pin on the hour at 1, 2 & 3pm. There will be a raffle to benefit canine charities (because it’s "DoG" Street). Raffle tickets will be $1 each and there ridiculously cool beer & pet related prizes along with gift cards to local businesses. Tickets are starting to sell quickly and so far the weather looks great. Doesn’t matter if the weather is jinxed because the event will be  under a giant tent anyway.
