ShinDIG at Jamestown
Sep 25, 2014 at 6:00pm
Guests enjoy an evening of bluegrass music, delicious barbecue and beautiful views of the James River Thursday, on Jamestown Island at the third annual ShinDIG at Jamestown. The event benefits the Jamestown Rediscovery Project at Historic Jamestowne.

A Taste of the James

This event will feature many different tastes including delicious seafood and other great food, a full bar, including local beer and wine, water/nature themed art, history, unique auction items, and lots of fun and educational childrens activities.

Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream
Sep 26– 28, 10am – 10 /11pm. (check website for schedule)
Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream offers chills and thrills to guests brave enough to venture into this cursed park. Navigate through Wendigo Woods, one of five Terror-tories; brave a darkly entertaining show like Monster Stomp on Ripper Row or explore six haunted houses.

Third Annual Yorktown Art Stroll
Sep 28, 11 am – 6 pm
This one-of-a-kind event will meld local businesses with artists and their work.  Enjoy a stroll through the town while each artist displays and sells their work in various shops and businesses in Yorktown, including Riverwalk Landing and the Freight Shed.

Rhythms on the Riverwalk Concert Series
Sep 26, 6:30 -8:30 pm
Featuring: The Kevin Mac Experience. York County is proud to offer the Tenth Annual Rhythms on the Riverwalk concert series each Friday in Sept. and also Oct. 3 at Riverwalk Landing in historic Yorktown. The weekly concert series will take place on the performance stage overlooking the York River.

Pipa Solo Concert Williamsburg Regional Library
Sep 26, 7:30- 8:30 pm
Bring your friends and come listen to the enchanting sounds of pipa , a traditional Chinese music instrument. With over 2000 years of history in China, the lute-like pipa has the shape of half a pear and takes its name from pi and pa, plucking forward and plucking backward, respectively.

Fall Native Plant Sale at the Virginia Living Museum
Sep 27-28, Sat: 9 am – 4pm|Sun: noon to 4pm.
Choose from an incredible array of beautiful plants and many other native trees, shrubs and perennials for a variety of gardening sites and styles. The Virginia Living Museums horticulture staff holds this annual sale as a fund-raiser, but the real goal is to introduce the gardening public to the incredible variety of native plants.

Comedy Club of Williamsburg presents Scott Long and Friends

Nationally touring comedian Scott Long has been working non-stop for 2 decades. Seen on NBC and Fox TV and heard on 100?s of radio shows including the Bob and Tom Show, ESPN, Fox Sports, and the XM comedy channel.  For 10 seasons he was a writer of the sketches for the NFL pregame show.
